Seinfeld was a hilarious sitcom on television throughout the 1990’s, and still plays reruns on various channels. If you watched Seinfeld at any point, lived during the 90’s, or payed even moderate attention to pop-culture, then you have heard the quotable words “No soup for you”. This quote originates from the “Soup Nazi” or “Soupman”character in Seinfeld. His soup was reportedly the most delicious soup in New York City, maybe even the world, but he was known for having a hostile attitude and very strict, arbitrary, rules in his soup shop.
Well, the Soupman does not appear to be a fictional character after all his name is Al Yeganah and he founded and owns the original restaurant in New York City, which is called Soup Kitchen International. He founded Soup Kitchen International in 1984 and has been serving the world’s best soups since then. Since then,
Al Yeganah’s Soup Kitchen International soups became the standard for delicious, world-renowned soups. Now there is an original Soupman restaurant in the Twin Cities too! The Minneapolis Soup Nazi brings all of the same excitement to the table and all of the same soups, ingredients, and services. The Soupman Mpls brings to Minnesota the same wonderful tastes and commitment to excellence that Soup Kitchen International brought to New York City, starting in 1984. Bringing amazing soup recipes to hungry customers in the Twin Cities is something Soupman Mpls was meant to do and will excel at.
